What She Learnt

"Factrice" is the French word for postmistress.

Now wouldn't it be intriguing to be the postmistress of a little French village, if only for a day, sorting and snooping through other people's mail? Exotic postmarks, intriguing handwriting, gloriously suspicious lumps and bumps...

This fact was found at The French Factrice, a blog devoted to antique postcards. If you're like Olive and have a soft spot for this sort of mail, The French Factrice is for you.

So neat! You could make a series of 'wrapped animals'........dragons, butterflies, etc.?

Oh, The French Factrice sounds divine - almost like the post office version of the book Chocolat. I'm off to check out the blog right now!

By the way, loving your new header - it seems the perfect way to welcome in the fast-approaching spring season!! :)
